Nothing os 3.0 update
- The update appears to introduce the new Quick Settings menu, which has been under development since the release of Nothing OS 2.5.
- We also see the first official reference to the new Lock Screen Clock Customizations, along with a revamped setup wizard. The UI will provide various clock styles to choose from and the option to shrink the clock further, creating more space for additional widgets. The clock can adjust automatically, and Nothing refers to this as a Dynamic clock.
- In addition to these changes, there is a refreshed UI in the Settings app. The settings options are now segmented and have a much cleaner appearance than before. A shadow appears at the top of the screen whenever you access an option, adding a nice touch. Moreover, there’s a new charging assistant feature that notifies you if your phone isn’t charging at optimal speed.
- We also have support specific to Android 15 for archiving apps, predictive back animations, and partial screen recording. The other features mentioned seem to be relatively minor, but still represent meaningful improvements.
- However, we are curious about the timeline for the other features including the Nothing Community and Gallery apps and Private Space, which is also an Android 15 feature that will be integrated into Nothing OS.
- While this may not be the final beta update for Nothing OS 3.0, it is possible that the features we discussed are still in development and could be rolled out a few months after the official release of the Nothing OS 3.0 stable update.
